Cooperation with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW)
Swiss students aspiring to a “Bachelor of Science in Facility Management“ degree will enrol in the three and a half year program at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Wädenswil.
During the first four semesters students will acquire basic knowledge and skills in the field of facility management, later they will go on to a six months internship in a company according to their area of specialization – Hospitality Management, Property Management or Consumer Science – where they will have the chance to test and apply what they have learned so far.
In order to ensure quality education during the internship the ZHAW has chosen suitable companies to take on students and train them in accordance with the university. University involvement includes the preparation of the work schedule, the determination of goals and areas of specialization as well as regular assessments. In July 2009 Intep became one of the ZHAW’s partner companies offering internships to FM students. For the second half of this year we have taken on two interns, Annina Nägeli and Roland Temperli, who are supervised by Birgit Hattenkofer, head of Management Consulting at Intep in Zurich. We are pleased to assume this responsibility and we wish Annina Nägeli and Roland Temperli an interesting and instructive time at Intep!
