Green Building Policy and Design in Washington D.C.
A workshop on green building hosted by the Swiss embassy in Washington D.C. brought together experts from Switzerland and the United States to discuss best practice examples and the latest green building developments and future trends. The keynote speeches were given by Henry Green, president of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS), Nick Beglinger, Switzerland, managing board of MINERGIE, and Stephan Tanner, AIA, principal of Intep Minneapolis.
Stephan Tanner talked about his experience in realizing green building projects in the United States. Managed by Stephan Tanner, Intep has been doing pioneer work in this field for ten years including the first U.S. Passive House certified according to the German Passive House standard in Minnesota.
