Development of a tender model in facility management

Professional courses at FM Switzerland
On April 29th 2010 Intep consultant Claudia Schneider will be lecturing on “Tenders in Facility Management” at the trade association Facility Management Switzerland in Bern. The course will provide insight into the development and the application fields of standardized tenders and the current achievements in the FM tender model project. Philipp Banz, hospital housekeeping manager at the Bern “Inselspital” hospital, will present the tender documents for cleaning services elaborated in co-operation with Intep.

CRB/IFMA project: Tender Model in Facility Management (AMFM)
Preparing calls for tenders is one of the recurring tasks in facility management. It is a procedure which is both time consuming and complex as there is no common definition for the services involved and no standardized way of exchanging data. This problem I addressed in the project “Tender Model in Facility Management” (AMFM) by the Swiss Research Centre for Rationalization in Building and Civil Engineering (CRB) and the International Facility Management Association IFMA Switzerland. Intep and Hess Immocare are in charge of professional consulting services for the development of the tender model.
